Through continual capital investment in modern facilities and technical equipment the company continues to achieve consistent production to the highest quality, and to the lowest possible production costs. The specialisation, in depth knowledge and professionalism ensures the company maintains its leading market position.
The Nursery
At present the production area covers 80,000 square metres at it's main site with a further 15,000 square metres of glasshouse area in Pinchbeck. Together the sites produce in excess of 2 million plants per year. The entire range is container grown and production is year round to fulfil all the demands of the market place.
The modern facilities comprise:
- A bespoke complete internal transport system, ensuring a light, fast and flexible process from production to marketing.
- The irrigation system at our main site is a fully closed ebb-flood system ensuring all water and fertilisers are recycled and environmental issues are addressed.
- A bespoke waste re-cycling machine separates plastics and organic material so that they can both be recycled.
- For our Supermarket and DIY chain customers, mechanised packing lines are installed with pot cleaning, care card inserter's and price label applicators for prompt and efficient order processing to strict deadlines.
